How are you doing? It is a simple question. One that causes pause, reflection, and response. To stop and ponder how you are doing requires at least a subtle hint of assessment and evaluation. To truly understand how you are doing, means you have to know what your aim is and where you are currently. This is true of your emotional or physical well-being, but it also applies to your leadership.

To be a leader means others are following you – either by choice or necessity. It means you are influencing and impacting other people. Their thoughts, emotions, and to some degree behaviors are determined and affected by you. Thus the quality of your leadership is important.

But how do you know how well you are leading? While anonymous survey’s and 360 reviews are helpful they may not tell the whole story. So how else can you know the condition of your leadership?
