Churches are seeking to be known for something. They desire to be known as recognizable with certain characteristics, certain truths. Whether it be correct teaching, compassionate living, aiding others, educating, or any number of other things. The truth is churches are seeking to have, make, build, or develop a brand also.
There have been other circumstances that have caused me to question, lean into, and wrestle with God's definition of good. It is a real question to which the answer has deeply impactful consequences. Life is full of unexpected difficulties, ones far greater than a broken down car or dishwasher. It is in those moments we often ask the questions, "Is God For Us?".

Kids ask a lot of questions. A recent study states that "mothers are asked 228 questions a day". And that is just for one child. (My wife and I have 5 - sooo...) Parents get asked numerous questions a day.

While many Christians, churches, and even pastors may agree with this statement, what is meant by it varies greatly. More evangelistic people, churches, and pastors interpret that as "we must reach the lost, that is the mission of the church". More maturity focused people, churches and pastors may see that statement and read "we must make sure people know their doctrine, Bible, and how to defend their faith, that is the mission of the church". However, I think both of those are aspects of not the actual purpose of the church.
