"In investigations, details matter". This line caught me the first time I heard it. I love suspenseful, investigative-style movies and shows. Whether it is Reacher, Jack Ryan, Criminal Minds, Inception, and many more, I love plot twists and last-minute resolutions.
Anytime we dream, our minds open to new possibilities. New adventures that could be had. New habits to start. New methods of operation. This is true for individuals, families, and organizations. Dreams open up potential.
Parenting, preaching, and teaching have this in common - it appears that very little sticks. There is another arena in which I've found this same reality to be true.
You panic! Should you be overly complimentary or slightly critical? In a millisecond you are trying to size up the questioner as a friend or foe, rouse up some generic middle-of-the-road comment that could be interpreted positively or negatively...
Good leaders are needed everywhere. Whether it is in your family, your team, your workplace, your church, or your community, our world needs more good leaders. But the funny thing about leadership is, at least in part, it has to be learned.
