Every family has them. The one child or parent that seems just a bit more OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder) than the rest of the family. Fortunate for me, I am that person when it comes to having things in their place in our home. While not vacuuming or dusting may drive my wife crazy even though the kids toys are spewed all over the house, I am the opposite. The house could have not been cleaned for the past two weeks and I will not notice, but if the kids toys are lying everywhere after two hours, I am ready to snap.
The reason for this, at least how I justify it, is I really like things to be in their proper place. As I have heard it said, “a place for everything, and everything in its place”. But it’s not just toys that get out of their proper place. One of the greatest threats of proper placement is technology. Statistics show technology is quickly infringing on every area of life and companies like Netflix recognize this and have no aim of slowing down.
So what can we do to “Reclaim Real Life in a World of Technology“? Check out this article as Andy Crouch shares 6 ways to do so. As always, be with the Lord’s people on the Lord’s day.
