2020 is officially behind us. Thank God! The last 9 months of 2020 were difficult for everyone. It brought unprecedented challenges and reasons to grieve. Many lost opportunities. Others lost jobs. Some lost loved ones. It was a strenuous year for us all. For these reasons and so many others we welcome the new year.

With the beginning of any new year comes the potential for new challenges, new opportunities, and new growth. If we learned anything this past year it’s that despite our circumstances there will always be opportunity for growth. But growth doesn’t come without effort and intentionality.

If you aim at nothing, you’ll hit it every time.

Zig Ziglar

While growth demands intentionality and effort, it never comes without a planning. Goal setting is as old as time, and New Year’s Resolutions are nothing new. Yet each year many of us have great intentions and horrible implementation. Why is that? I wrote about that 7 years ago in my article “Resolved 2014“. As I reread the article today, I couldn’t help but see the timeless truth it contained.

As you write out your resolutions or set your goals today make sure you check out the article and tips it includes. As always I’d love to hear from any of my reader and be with the Lord’s people on the Lord’s day!
