Everyone does it. The Hindu man living in the Middle East. The Orthodox college student situated in Russia. The Christian mom who stays at home. Even the devout atheist philosopher. Everyone does it. What is it? Worship! Every person alive worships. They worship something, someone, or some idea. But they worship. However, a more controversial topic is not so much the what of worship but the how. Even in Christian circles how one worships may look entirely different from another’s worship. While I do agree there will be and should be allowed some cultural differences in how worship takes place, does that really mean how we worship is unimportant or a secondary issue? Is All Worship Equally Acceptable to God? is an article that begins to answer that question. While I do not agree with everything in the article and do think there is much more to the conversation than stated, I believe his underlying point is spot on! God not only cares what we worship (namely Him), He also cares how we worship.
Enjoy and as always be with the Lord’s people on the Lord’s day!
