It was a late Saturday night. The kids were up 3 times through the evening. And the alarm clock went off at 6:30am. What should be a most relaxing and exciting morning, had shaped up to be the most exhausting night and morning of the entire week. It was Sunday and that meant no sleeping in, no procrastinating getting out of bed, and certainly no lazy morning. But sometimes, even as a pastor, I have to ask, is it worth the lack of rest and hurried mornings for my kids and I to be in church?

To answer this question is Jenny Funderburke steps in with an convicting and encouraging article. Her 5 Reasons Your Kid Should Be in Church are great reminders and hope filled encouragements for all of us, but especially those with children asking questions like: “is it worth the fight?” “is it worth the effort?” “will it be worth it in the long run?” Jenny answers all of those questions with a resounding yes in the article.

Enjoy and as always be with the Lord’s people on the Lord’s day.
