What a story? A breath-taking beginning, some terrible conflict, an unbelievable resolution, and a happy ever after ending. It was and is the kind of plot every movie, book, and storyteller imitates. And it has made a lasting impact on my life. The story is still changing my thinking and feelings every day.

Reality is, the story I am talking about above is the best selling book of all time. It has been translated into seemingly countless languages. And it was written many centuries ago. It has been read by countless people, changed countless lives, and given life to countless societies throughout all of history. What story is it? What book could I be talking about?

The Bible! That’s right, God’s Word has not only an amazing storyline but an uncanny ability to change lives. Yet for a doubt and uncertainty in trusting the Bible has grown among churches and church leaders. That is why I love Andy Davis’ article “Rely on God’s Word, Not on Techniques” challenging pastors, church leaders, and Christians alike to trust God’s story.
