Empty. It’s something we have all felt at some point. Maybe it was back in school when it seemed we had no friends. Some feel empty after dropping kids off at college. Or if you are like my mom, that empty feeling hits when you realize you ran your car out of gas. The reality is empty is not seen as a positive reality.

However, that’s not always the case. Empty can mean disappointment. Empty can mean misery. It can mean heartache or anxiety. But it doesn’t have to…sometimes

Empty is something extraordinary.

This weekend we get to celebrate the greatest empty moment in history. A reality that changed history. A fact that rewrites our story. This weekend we have the privilege of basking in the empty tomb of Jesus. Watch the video and see how one empty moment should encourages us in every empty part of life.

No matter where you are or what you are facing, I hope that this weekend you see empty a new way. I pray that you see an empty tomb as catalyst to a new beginning. That an empty grave is a clarion call to new life. A new life you can begin by simply admitting your sin, repenting of it, turning to the One who came out of the empty tomb as your Savior, and trusting Him completely and solely for your eternal life.

As always be with the Lord’s people on the Lord’s day. And if for some reason you cannot we would love to have you join us online @ Mountain View Community Church online.
